Description:
We are seeking an experienced **Avionics Integration Engineer** to support the design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation of advanced aircraft avionics systems. This position requires strong systems integration experience, technical documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate across engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
## Position Responsibilities
* Investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate integrated avionics systems.
* Develop system performance specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), test plans, and test procedures.
* Perform aircraft-level and system-level analysis to verify performance requirements.
* Plan, support, and manage avionics integration projects to meet technical, schedule, and customer requirements.
* Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with critical system performance parameters.
* Identify and recommend design improvements and technology upgrades to enhance integrated avionics and weapon system capabilities.
* Provide technical guidance and oversight to subcontractors and suppliers to ensure performance, cost, and schedule requirements are achieved.
* Work with Business Development teams to develop technical solutions supporting new business opportunities.
* Support system integration, verification, validation, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a **Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)** discipline.
* Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
* Experience integrating one or more aircraft avionics systems, including:
* Multi-Function Displays (MFD)
* Digital Maps
* GPS
* IFF
* ADS-B
* TCAS
* ILS
* Radar Altimeters
* Air Data Systems
* MUOS
* VHF/UHF Radios
* SATCOM
* Tactical Datalinks
* Experience developing or working with system requirements, performance specifications, Interface Control Documents, and test plans/procedures.
* Strong aircraft or avionics systems integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting experience.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to coordinate effectively across internal engineering organizations, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience integrating **AC and DC aircraft electrical power systems**.
* Experience with military aircraft, defense avionics, mission systems, or weapon systems.
* Experience working with avionics environmental, electrical, and electromagnetic qualification standards, including:
* RTCA DO-160
* MIL-STD-810
* MIL-STD-704
* MIL-STD-1760
* MIL-STD-883
* MIL-STD-461
* MIL-STD-464
* Experience coordinating avionics suppliers and subcontractors.
* Experience supporting technical proposals or new business development activities.
