Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
About the Role
As an Avionics Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and executing avionics integration and testing requirements for military aircraft upgrade programs. Your expertise will help ensure that critical aircraft systems perform seamlessly together while meeting stringent customer, regulatory, and mission requirements.
Working with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, and suppliers, you'll contribute to the successful integration of advanced avionics technologies that enhance aircraft performance, capability, and mission readiness.
What You'll Do
Avionics Integration & System Development
Investigate, analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate avionics system integrations.
Develop and manage integration and test requirements for military aircraft upgrade programs.
Create system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans and procedures.
Conduct air vehicle and system-level analyses to verify performance requirements are achieved.
Project Leadership & Program Support
Plan, coordinate, and manage avionics integration projects to meet customer objectives.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with critical performance requirements.
Provide technical oversight and guidance to subcontractors to ensure performance, cost, and schedule targets are met.
Support program execution by identifying potential risks and recommending solutions.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate integrated avionics and weapon systems to identify performance enhancements and future upgrade opportunities.
Recommend design improvements and technology insertion strategies to increase system capability.
Support new business initiatives by helping develop technical solutions and project proposals.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a key technical interface between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Build strong relationships across engineering disciplines and program organizations.
Effectively communicate technical concepts, project status, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline.
Experience integrating one or more of the following avionics systems:
Multi-Function Displays
Digital Maps
GPS
Identification Friend or Foe (IFF)
ADS-B
Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS)
Instrument Landing Systems (ILS)
Radar Altimeters
Air Data Systems
MUOS
VHF/UHF Radios
SATCOM
Datalinks
Experience developing system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test procedures.
Strong understanding of avionics integration and system-level verification processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project coordination abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience integrating AC and DC aircraft power systems.
Knowledge of avionics qualification and environmental standards, including:

Experience supporting military aircraft development or modernization programs.
Prior experience working with subcontractors and external suppliers in an aerospace environment.
Familiarity with weapons systems integration and advanced mission systems.
