Pay Rate: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
About the Role
As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and integration of aircraft electrical systems for advanced military aviation programs. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll be responsible for developing wire harness routing designs, creating installation drawings, supporting manufacturing efforts, and ensuring electrical systems meet stringent aerospace requirements.

What You'll Do
Electrical Design & Installation Development
Develop wire harness and cable routing designs using the CATIA V6 design environment.
Create engineering installation drawings for electrical systems and electronic equipment installations.
Design detail parts and installation solutions for military aircraft applications.
Support the development of wiring diagrams, system architecture documentation, equipment lists, parts lists, and component data sheets.
Create ENOVIA objects and manage engineering data within the product lifecycle environment.
Generate release routes and support the release of engineering drawing packages.
Ensure design documentation meets engineering standards and program requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Wire Data Design, Airframe Engineering, Fluid Systems, Manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to support product development.
Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions to drive successful project outcomes.
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design issues and optimize installation solutions.
Manufacturing & Production Support
Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing teams during wire harness fabrication.
Assist with aircraft harness and cable installation activities.
Troubleshoot installation challenges and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the production process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Relevant engineering experience with demonstrated proficiency in electrical installation design.
Experience using CATIA V5 and/or CATIA V6 for system installation design.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines and functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CATIA V6 in an aerospace or aviation environment.
Familiarity with MIL-W-5088 / SAE-AS50881 and associated aerospace wiring specifications.
Knowledge of wire harness construction methods and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience supporting aircraft electrical installations and manufacturing processes.
Understanding of engineering release processes and configuration management within ENOVIA.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
