Job Summary
• Perform advanced rotor dynamics and shafting structural analysis for rotating aerospace systems.
• Analyze vibration, stability, and dynamic behavior of components such as fans, compressors, turbines, and jet engine rotating systems.
• Support mechanical design projects and lead engineering activities within aerospace environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct rotor dynamics analysis to predict:
o Critical speeds.
o Whirl speed maps and Campbell diagrams.
o Displacement, force, and moment caused by imbalance.
• Perform shafting and structural analyses using 1D beam-based FEA techniques.
• Use ANSYS APDL or ANSYS Workbench for engineering analysis.
• Support complex mechanical component and system design.
• Lead design reviews and conduct engineering risk assessments.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
• Support mechanical design projects in aerospace environments.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Extensive Rotor Dynamics experience in mechanical design engineering.
• At least 10 years of Rotor Dynamics analysis experience preferred.
• Strong aerospace or related industry experience.
• Proficiency in ANSYS APDL and/or ANSYS Workbench.
• Proficiency in 1D Beam-based FEA techniques.
• Strong experience in Rotor Dynamics and Shafting Structural Analysis.
• Experience leading design reviews and risk assessments.
• Proven leadership experience managing mechanical design projects.
Preferred Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with PLM tools and aerospace certification processes.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and MIL-STD standards.
• Experience with:
o Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
o Tolerance analysis.
o Mechanical testing methodologies.
