This is more than a purchasing role. You'll serve as a key contributor in an Engineering Development Lab, helping ensure the right materials arrive at the right time to support cutting-edge aviation seat design and development projects. Your ability to think strategically, act quickly, and solve complex sourcing challenges will have a direct impact on operational success.

Job Title: Senior Associate, Procurement

Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27105

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Flexible)

Pay Rate: $40.52 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Senior Associate, Procurement, you'll manage critical sourcing and purchasing activities that support engineering builds, testing requirements, and rapid-response development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for assigned Statements of Work (SOWs)
  
• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders to support operational and engineering needs
  
• Source materials and resources required for product builds, testing, and development projects
  
• Conduct competitive supplier bidding activities and evaluate supplier capabilities
  
• Assess supplier risks and recommend the best sourcing solutions
  
• Support long-term agreement (LTA) and contract-related procurement activities
  
• Manage procurement transactions and workflows within the Ariba system
  
• Track and achieve monthly vendor on-time delivery objectives
  
• Maintain and update the Engineering Development Lab (EDL) SOW SharePoint Dashboard
  
• Participate in team and operational meetings, communicating sourcing risks, challenges, and opportunities
  
• Collaborate with leadership on process improvement initiatives and future procurement strategies
  
• Complete required training and company-sponsored development activities
  
• Support rapid-response procurement requests with urgency and accuracy
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or a related discipline and at least 3 years of relevant purchasing experience
  

OR

• Advanced degree in a related discipline
  

OR

• 7 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience in lieu of a degree
  

Additional Requirements

• Experience sourcing and procuring direct and/or indirect materials
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and purchasing skills
  
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  
• Proven ability to work with urgency while maintaining quality and accuracy
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or product development environments
  
• Familiarity with Ariba procurement systems
  
• Experience leading or supporting projects and cross-functional initiatives
  
• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies
  
• Experience with supplier bid analysis and risk assessment
  
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost, quality, and lead-time optimization opportunities
  
• Ability to thrive in a rapid-response, high-visibility procurement role
