Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program. o Course work in 3phase power and machines. o PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, steeled toe shoes, hearing protection, flashlight.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Experience with 3- Ø power. o Experience with Naval power and propulsion. o Experience with power generation and distribution.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
WORK HOURS: 5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM
