Position: Systems Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant | 6-Month Assignment
Location: Warner Robins, GA (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $63 to $83 per hour
As a Systems Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and sustainment of critical engineering processes and systems that help maintain fleet reliability and operational performance. Working with a diverse, multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll contribute to root cause investigations, reliability initiatives, process improvements, and engineering data management efforts that directly support aircraft sustainment and mission success.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with engineering professionals, military customers, and program stakeholders while helping shape the future of lifecycle management and sustainment operations.
Support the Engineering Data Repository System (EDARS) team in developing and implementing tools that support aircraft and equipment Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and preventive actions.
Partner with Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) teams, engineering authorities, and technical leadership to develop, analyze, consolidate, and submit Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
Support annual engineering program assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and customer representatives to investigate technical issues and identify effective solutions.
Develop and drive RCCA efforts to reduce recurring engineering issues and improve fleet reliability.
Analyze engineering data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for operational and technical improvements.
Support the integration and sustainment of program-wide engineering processes, systems, tools, policies, and performance measures.
Maintain engineering documentation and ensure visibility into program performance, quality metrics, and cycle-time objectives.
Work closely with systems engineering, sustainment engineering, and process management teams to ensure effective collaboration and process alignment.
Support improvements to maintenance concepts, technical orders, engineering drawings, work instruction records, and design solutions that reduce customer burden and improve operational outcomes.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer organizations and cross-functional stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree and typically 5+ years of engineering experience; OR
Master's degree with typically 3+ years of engineering experience; OR
PhD with engineering experience.
5+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration activities.
3+ years of experience in:
Data analysis
Trending
Reporting
3+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA)
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Fault Tree Analysis
Airplane-Level Threat Analysis
System Safety Assessments (SSA)
Experience developing and integrating engineering processes.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations and drive shared objectives.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Bachelor's degree in:

Computer Science
Mathematics
Physics
Or a related technical field
Experience with Life Cycle Management (LCM) programs and Systems Engineering Plan development.
C-17 program experience.
Experience working with non-conformance and engineering data systems such as:
VECTOR
GOLDesp
AutoTAR
Knowledge of U.S. Air Force engineering processes, regulations, and operational protocols.
Experience supporting sustainment, reliability, or maintenance-focused engineering programs.
