As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure. Your expertise will directly support operational excellence by maximizing equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across a highly advanced aerospace manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, support new projects, and implement proactive maintenance strategies that keep operations running at peak performance.
What You'll Do
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Serve as a technical expert for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automation/control systems.
Partner with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot equipment and infrastructure issues.
Review facility and infrastructure designs for new installations and modifications, ensuring maintainability, compatibility, and operational effectiveness.
Improve equipment reliability, performance, and uptime through data-driven engineering solutions.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize operational processes.
Coordinate contractors and develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs).
Take ownership of assigned equipment and systems, including preventive maintenance planning and spare parts management.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and implementation efforts.
Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and equipment risk assessments.
Develop and execute machine monitoring strategies using vibration, temperature, and other condition-based indicators.
Support reliability-centered maintenance programs and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Verify engineering designs meet applicable codes, standards, and company requirements, including ASME and NFPA standards.
Create training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment documentation.
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Assist in developing equipment specifications for future capital investments and facility upgrades.
Required Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR
PhD in a STEM discipline with 1+ year of relevant experience.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Facilities Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Power Systems
Construction Engineering
Operations
Aerospace
Equipment Design or Manufacturing Engineering
Experience with programming and control systems, including:
Ladder Logic
Structured Text
Function Block Diagrams
Temperature and Pressure Control Loops
Experience working with autoclaves.
Ability to obtain and maintain required program access approvals.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS/CAFM), including Maximo.
Reading and revising building and utility drawings.
Industrial boilers and compressed air systems.
Large commercial air handling and HVAC equipment.
Refrigeration and cooling systems.
Large-scale electrical infrastructure, including:
Utility Power Distribution
Transformers
Switchgear
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems
Diesel Generators
400Hz Power Systems

Pay Details: $92.19 per hour
