Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Engineering Technician 1's for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of related experience. o Basic understanding of Mechanical principles, and blueprint comprehension, ability to work with computers & Microsoft tools, and able to work in a team environment. Knowledge of tools and measurement devices. o Ability to assemble and handle delicate hardware using mechanical and electrical tools. o Ability to occasionally lift 35 lbs. o Able to read work instructions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Looking for an Engineering Technician 1 to support our Integration Test & Launch department. As a member of the IT&L, you'll get to work on space flight hardware in a fun, challenging, and gratifying work environment.
Responsibilities: Assemble, integrate and test space flight hardware while interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Handle and assemble delicate and ESD sensitive flight hardware in a dynamic team environment. Assist with occasional assembly of non-flight Ground Support Equipment and work with forklifts, cranes and associated rigging equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Experience and knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical tools and hardware. o Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English).
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.
