Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9/80 Work Schedule
Shift: Start at 7:00 AM or 8:30 AM, ending at 4:00 PM or 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $92.26 per hour

As an Engineer Systems Test, you'll play a critical role in validating the performance, reliability, and safety of advanced defense systems. You'll lead and support environmental, electromagnetic, mechanical, and reliability testing while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure products meet rigorous military and industry standards.
Your expertise will help bring innovative technologies from development to deployment, ensuring they perform flawlessly under the most demanding real-world conditions.
What You'll Do
Test Planning & Execution
Develop comprehensive test plans and testing strategies for advanced systems and components.
Coordinate activities with internal and external test facilities.
Oversee test execution to ensure accuracy, compliance, and successful outcomes.
Support a variety of dynamic and environmental test programs.
Environmental & Systems Testing
Conduct and support:
Climatic testing
Vibration testing
Mechanical shock testing
Electromagnetic Effects (EME) testing
Bench testing of electronic devices
Safety and reliability testing
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, reduce, analyze, and interpret test data.
Utilize engineering tools such as Excel, MATLAB, SciPy, and other analytical software.
Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to engineering and program leadership teams.
Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for system improvements.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
Investigate and resolve test-related technical issues.
Support failure investigations and root-cause analysis efforts.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop corrective actions.
Ensure testing activities meet applicable requirements and performance objectives.
Specialized Testing Support
With proper training, work in controlled environments involving hazardous devices and energetic materials.
Support testing activities requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Travel as needed to support test activities at commercial and government testing facilities.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in:
Aeronautical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Or a related engineering discipline
Experience & Skills
Strong understanding of engineering test methods and data analysis principles
Proficiency with analytical and data-processing tools, including:
Microsoft Excel
MATLAB
SciPy
Similar engineering software tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to analyze complex technical data and communicate findings effectively
Willingness to travel as required

Test Equipment Expertise

Experience utilizing commercial or government test facilities
Familiarity with military and defense testing requirements

Pay Details: $92.26 per hour
