Schedule: Monday-Friday, primarily 1st shift, with business needs requiring observations and support across all three shifts

As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving manufacturing stability, productivity, and performance. You'll collaborate with production, manufacturing, engineering, and support teams to analyze workflows, establish time standards, identify improvement opportunities, and implement Lean principles that drive measurable results.
Your insights and recommendations will directly influence operational efficiency, scheduling accuracy, quality performance, and the overall success of aerospace manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
Analyze and Improve Manufacturing Processes
Conduct work observations and time studies to validate current labor standards and production performance.
Develop and document new time standards to support the implementation of advanced scheduling software.
Analyze workflow, throughput, capacity, and resource utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate value-added versus non-value-added activities and recommend process enhancements.
Drive Lean Manufacturing Initiatives
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and Industrial Engineering methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on schedule performance, cost reduction, and product quality.
Assist in creating, deploying, and standardizing best practices across manufacturing operations.
Data Analysis & Process Optimization
Develop models, databases, reports, and spreadsheets to analyze operational data and performance metrics.
Utilize engineering tools, statistical analysis, and process modeling to support decision-making.
Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for increased productivity and asset utilization.
Collaborate Across the Organization
Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and production support teams to implement improvements.
Support value stream analysis, factory flow optimization, logistics planning, and capacity evaluation.
Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Support Safety, Quality & Operational Excellence
Identify quality and safety risks within manufacturing processes and elevate concerns for root-cause investigation.
Participate in process validation efforts that ensure sustainable operational improvements.
Contribute to creating a robust manufacturing environment that supports long-term business objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
Experience or exposure to engineering, manufacturing, production, and/or supply chain environments
Experience conducting work observations and time studies
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to interpret data and develop actionable process improvement recommendations
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently while contributing within a cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience developing and implementing standardized processes
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence practices
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience supporting manufacturing process optimization initiatives
Familiarity with statistical analysis, process modeling, and engineering economics
ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred, but not required

Pay Details: $37.39 per hour
