Chipton-Ross is seeking an Industrial Engineer 1for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
100% Onsite. Candidates must be local or willing to re-locate prior to start at own expense
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Accredited Bachelor's degree. Beginner excel knowledge. Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Client is seeking entry level Industrial Engineers to support the Executive Fleet program. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply Industrial Engineering concepts to develop operating plans and recovery plans, conduct capacity and constraint-based analysis, develop and refine precedence networks, and conduct overall process effectiveness studies. You will also have opportunities to develop, implement, and improve processes focused on lowering costs and improving schedule performance and quality. Candidates must be able to operate within a multi-functional team, coordinating with various departments.
-Develops Operating plans and Recovery plans as needed. -Learn and support utilization and development of models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, trend and production impacts). -Improves processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts. -Develops solutions to routine technical problems. -Collaborates cross functionally to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing, documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases. -Schedules work plans, conducts data analysis (historical, trends and production impacts), staffing and process improvements.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Aircraft / Aerospace industry experience. Experience with 3D Computer aided design tools such as IVT. Experience with Client standard scheduling tools such as Aurora. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification. Experience conducting/leading Time studies and reporting out to leadership.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to walk, stand, and enter aircraft via steps or ladders. Able to lift up to 35lbs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited Bachelor's degree.
WORK HOURS: Full-Time/First Shift 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM Work 4x10 schedule (Sun-Wed) or (Wed-Sat) on 1st shift. OT/Weekend Work: As required
