Location: Goleta, CA 93117

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Schedule: Monday through Friday | Must be available to support multiple shifts

Pay Rate: $50.93 per hour

As an Engineering Technician 2, you'll play a critical role in supporting engineering and testing operations. Working alongside engineers and technical teams, you'll execute test plans, collect and analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

This is a dynamic, hands-on position where your technical expertise directly contributes to innovative aerospace and aviation programs.

What You'll Do

Testing & Engineering Support

• Provide technical and testing support to engineering teams across a variety of projects.
  
• Execute component-level and system-level test plans, procedures, and test events.
  
• Participate in test planning activities and test readiness reviews.
  
• Conduct tests, gather data, and assist with engineering evaluations and analysis.
  

Data Analysis & Documentation

• Analyze measurement requirements and equipment tolerances.
  
• Compile, format, maintain, and interpret technical data and test results.
  
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, and reports.
  
• Generate customer-specific reports and present findings in required formats.
  

Process Improvement & Troubleshooting

• Define and maintain test process best practices.
  
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of test equipment and infrastructure.
  
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing and manufacturing-related issues.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to support project success.
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Additional 2 years of education and/or related technical experience.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and process documentation.
  
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and environmental test area.
  
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  
• Ability to safely lift, move, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  
• Flexibility to support multiple shifts.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working around delicate spacecraft or aerospace hardware.
  
• Engineering-related certifications or technical certifications.
  
• Previous experience supporting advanced testing environments.
