Position Details




  • Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Technician
  • Location: Jacksonville, FL
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

    • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
    • Must be available to work 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs


  • Pay Rate: Starting at $30.86/hour




What You'll Do



As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you'll support maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification activities on P-8 aircraft and other military and commercial derivative aircraft platforms.



Key Responsibilities




  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and overhauls on aircraft and flight control components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, technical directives, and service bulletins.
  • Fabricate, trim, drill, ream, and assemble metallic and composite aircraft components.
  • Install and remove rivets, blind fasteners, Hi-Loks, bolts, lock bolts, screws, and other aircraft hardware.
  • Conduct precision drilling and measurements to exact specifications.
  • Apply primers, paints, sealants, corrosion protection, and aircraft finishes.
  • Remove and reinstall aircraft access panels and fairings.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment, including:

    • Micrometers
    • Dial calipers
    • Grip gauges
    • Feeler gauges
    • Depth gauges
    • Bore gauges


  • Complete aircraft maintenance records, technical logs, and work documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support on-time aircraft delivery goals.




What We're Looking For



Required Qualifications




  • Minimum 3 years of Aircraft Mechanic experience in commercial aviation, defense aviation, or a related trade apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Ability to perform close-tolerance drilling within .003 inches.
  • Ability to perform precision measurements within .003 inches.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience performing structural repairs on military aircraft.
  • Proficiency working with metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience applying aircraft coatings, primers, sealants, and corrosion prevention treatments.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft fasteners, hardware, and installation procedures.
  • Familiarity with technical directives, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Pay Details: $30.86 per hour
