Aircraft Painter

In this role, you'll play a critical part in producing and finishing aircraft components that help keep the aviation industry moving forward.

As a Painter, you'll be responsible for performing a variety of processing, coating, finishing, and production support activities while ensuring all work meets strict aerospace and customer quality standards.
Apply coatings and paint finishes to aircraft components and products.
Perform media blasting, masking, stenciling, part marking, and identification activities.
Prepare surfaces for painting using pneumatic sanders and hand-finishing techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints, process instructions, work instructions, customer specifications, and job aids.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, air tools, and computerized systems to complete assignments.
Conduct in-process and final self-inspections using test equipment to verify compliance with customer requirements.
Input required production and quality data into the FDAQ database.
Perform product rework, change incorporations, and pickup activities as needed.
Maintain paint booths, paint mix rooms, and work areas in accordance with "Clean as You Go" standards.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of paint equipment and components.
Move products safely throughout the manufacturing area using assigned equipment, including ovens and overhead cranes.
Support production flow by training and assisting team members.
Participate in internal and external audits and demonstrate compliance with established procedures.
Assist Assembly Technicians as needed.
Follow all company, customer, OSHA, ISO, Nadcap, and safety requirements.
Work from elevated platforms, including lifts, ladders, and scaffolding when required.
Be flexible to work any shift and overtime as production demands require.
High School Diploma, GED, or WorkKeys Assessment completion.
Minimum of 3 years of aircraft painting experience.
Basic paint application skills and knowledge of painting processes.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Ability to maintain required certifications, qualifications, licenses, or permits.
Vocational school training in painting techniques and practices.
Previous employer-sponsored training related to industrial or aircraft painting.
Experience working in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
