Summary:
Reviews and assesses various machining processes to identify inefficiencies and streamline processing steps.
Works closely with shop floor machinists to understand and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
Bridges the gap between production operations, quality, NC programming, and other technical disciplines.
Leads cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects with measurable, tangible results.
Analyzes manufacturing processes to optimize machining operations and reduce waste.
Applies knowledge of machined part manufacturing to process improvement initiatives.
Uses statistical process control for monitoring and improving manufacturing quality.
Performs root cause and corrective action analysis for manufacturing issues.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
Spends majority of time on production floor for hands-on engineering support.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
Machined part manufacturing experience.
Experience running cost reduction and efficiency projects with tangible results.
Experience with root cause and corrective action analysis.
Experience using statistical process control in manufacturing.
Familiarity with Mazak NC machines.
Ability to work on production floor and communicate effectively with shop floor personnel.
Experience reviewing and optimizing machining processes.
Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
