Summary:
Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
Balances technical product, cost, and schedule in problem solving approaches.
Works without appreciable direction and exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.
Makes authoritative technical decisions and recommendations that impact extensive engineering activities.
Maintains current knowledge of developments in aircraft fields to recommend innovations improving quality and effectiveness of products.
Conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity to support engineering programs.
Provides technical leadership and expertise as a recognized authority within the field.
Applies advanced technical principles to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with a Bachelor's degree.
Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
Experience in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
Experience developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
Experience balancing technical product, cost, and schedule in problem solving.
Ability to work without appreciable direction and make authoritative technical decisions.
Recognized as a technical authority within the field with extensive consultation from associates and others.
