Description:
The Flight test Manufacturing Engineer is an assembly and installation engineer that supports installation planning by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside), interface with procurement (including tracking), and supports during the build/installation.
The primary focus of this position is to lead, manage and support flight test design & planning efforts. These efforts represent a wide variety of development airplane programs
Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
