Position Details




  • Job Title: Engineering Technician
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
  • Location: Oxnard, CA 93030
  • Pay Rate: $50.93 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Shift Flexibility Required: Must be able to support multiple shifts, including:

    • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:45 PM
    • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - Midnight


  • Travel: Approximately 10% travel between Oxnard, CA and Goleta, CA facilities, as well as occasional customer support travel

As an Engineering Technician, you'll provide critical testing and technical support for advanced aerospace systems and components. Working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll execute test plans, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.



Your expertise will directly contribute to engineering evaluations, manufacturing support, product validation, and customer success.





What You'll Do



Testing & Validation




  • Execute component- and system-level test plans, procedures, and test events.
  • Support engineering teams with technical testing activities and evaluations.
  • Participate in test planning sessions and test readiness reviews.
  • Conduct tests, collect performance data, and document results accurately.


Technical Analysis & Reporting




  • Analyze measurement requirements and equipment tolerances.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain technical data, including test results and engineering changes.
  • Generate reports and present data in customer-required formats.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, procedures, test reports, and records.


Troubleshooting & Problem Solving




  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing and technical issues.
  • Support manufacturing, inspection, and test engineering teams with issue resolution.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Help improve testing processes and equipment effectiveness.


Equipment & Process Support




  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing test equipment and infrastructure.
  • Help define and document best practices for testing processes and equipment utilization.
  • Support internal and external customer requirements while maintaining quality standards.




Required Qualifications



Education & Experience




  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing or engineering environment.


Technical Skills




  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and process documentation systems.
  • Experience working in a Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze technical data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.


Physical Requirements




  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to support multiple work shifts as business needs require.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience working around delicate spacecraft or aerospace hardware.
  • Certification in engineering or technical disciplines.
  • Some college coursework in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, defense, or advanced technology programs.
  • Familiarity with environmental and system-level testing processes.

Pay Details: $50.93 per hour
