Location: Dallas, TX | Pay Rate: $26.94/hour | Schedule: Weekend Days (5:25am - 4:05pm)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Cabinet Finisher who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and quality. In this role, you’ll play a hands-on part in preparing and finishing aircraft furniture to exacting specifications—helping create the exceptional interiors passengers and crews experience in the air.

As a Cabinet Finisher, you’ll work under general supervision to prepare, repair, and apply finishes to aircraft furniture while following blueprints, engineering drawings, and aircraft specifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly contribute to safe, reliable, and beautifully finished aircraft interiors.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and disassemble aircraft furniture for finishing using blueprints, aircraft specifications, and engineering/design drawings.
Apply high-quality finishes using spray equipment and manual or mechanical application methods.
Perform repairs to a variety of finished surfaces in the shop and aboard aircraft.
Clean, polish, and correct blemishes to ensure surfaces meet delivery standards.
Use sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, masking materials, solvents, finish products, hand tools, and power tools.
Follow all safety, 5S, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Protect aircraft interiors using established protection procedures.
Use material tracking systems to create parts demands, track squawks, and document completed work.
Partner with lead and higher-skilled technicians to improve processes, safety, quality, cost, cycle time, and productivity.
Support Lean Six Sigma and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in wood finishing.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Basic knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work any shift.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small or restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with aircraft furniture finishing, repair, or refinishing.
Experience working from blueprints, engineering drawings, or technical specifications.
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other process-improvement methodologies.
