Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Engineering Technician 4's for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. o Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required. o Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly with a high attention to detail. o Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Looking for an Engineering Technician 4 to support our Space Systems Integration, Test, and Launch Execution directorate. As a member of the Spacecraft Operations department, you'll be responsible for the assembly, test, and launch of a wide variety of spacecraft and payloads.
Responsibilities: Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Participates in the development of sub-system and system test methodology. Assists with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements. o Comprehension with reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructions. o Experience working in clean room environments. o Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments. o Experienced in the spacecraft production and test methodologies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.
