Shape the Future of Aerospace Quality as an Operations Quality Analyst
Location: Tucson, AZ | Payrate: $30 - $35/hour | Schedule: 1st shift, 7am to 3:30pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find an experienced Operations Quality Analyst who is ready to make a measurable impact on quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening Quality Management Systems, preventing defects, resolving root causes, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with Quality Engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and leadership to help ensure products and processes meet rigorous aerospace quality and compliance standards.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help lead quality initiatives across three key areas: Quality Planning & Prevention, Corrective Action, and Continual Improvement.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Support the implementation, interpretation, and revision of the site Quality Management System (QMS).
Partner with Quality Engineers to identify root causes, develop corrective and preventive actions, and manage Corrective Action Responses (CARs).
Help develop, monitor, and execute Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
Conduct internal audits of products and processes, prepare formal audit reports, and issue internal CARs when needed.
Track audits and improvement actions across processes, systems, products, and suppliers, with a focus on safety, compliance, and ISO standards.
Develop and maintain documentation for quality procedures, workmanship standards, and work instructions.
Analyze and report internal factory and external customer quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that create value for the business, customers, and suppliers.
Expand product knowledge and quality capabilities through designated training programs.
Support leadership-directed assignments and contribute to the deployment of broader quality strategies.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
4–6 years of relevant quality or manufacturing experience.
Working knowledge of quality tools, AS/ISO and IPC standards, and Quality Management Systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations and quality methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles, including Lean Kaizen and Six Sigma.
Experience using software applications to capture data, analyze trends, and develop clear, actionable reports.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Business-minded approach with an understanding of how operational decisions affect profitability, product quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing internal process and product audits.
Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
Aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or highly regulated-industry experience.
Experience working directly with Quality Engineers, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
