Position Details



Job Title: Electrical/Electronic Testing Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Contract)

Location: El Segundo, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $55.17 per hour



Ability to support off-shift and non-standard schedules as needed for 24/7 operations is required.

As an Electrical/Electronic Testing Engineer, you'll provide critical engineering support for spacecraft integration, subsystem verification, and system-level testing activities. Your work will help ensure complex electrical systems perform reliably, meet mission requirements, and are ready for successful deployment.

What You'll Do



Support Spacecraft & System Testing




  • Support satellite bus architecture, integration, and verification activities.
  • Execute system verification, validation, and performance testing.
  • Conduct test readiness reviews and support major testing milestones.
  • Validate subsystem functionality against program requirements and mission objectives.


Troubleshoot & Analyze Complex Systems




  • Perform electrical subsystem analysis and issue resolution.
  • Investigate anomalies and support root-cause troubleshooting efforts.
  • Analyze test data and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure compatibility and proper integration between spacecraft subsystems.


Engineering & Integration Support




  • Assist with interface definition and subsystem compatibility assessments.
  • Support system-level integration activities throughout test phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Help maintain technical quality while reducing schedule and integration risks.


Maintain Test Excellence




  • Utilize laboratory instrumentation and test equipment to validate system performance.
  • Support calibration, measurement, and verification activities.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements, mission objectives, and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to efficient, lean testing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.


Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in:

    • Engineering
    • Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology)
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Or a related technical discipline


  • Experience with test instrumentation and testing methodologies.
  • Experience working in a laboratory or test environment.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
  • Experience conducting verification testing, system testing, and/or data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. 
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               

     

Preferred Qualifications


  • 3+ years of related engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting space systems, including satellite programs.
  • Experience operating and calibrating laboratory test equipment, measurement devices, and power systems.
  • Experience working with electrical systems and/or RF subsystems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting systems integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and lean engineering practices.
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD in a related engineering field.

Pay Details: $55.17 per hour
