Position Details

Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Location: Sterling, VA 20164

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 1st Shift

Hours: Typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch; flexible start/end times available and discussed during interview process)

Pay Rate: $24.56 per hour

Your Role: Keep Aerospace Production Moving

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you'll play a vital role in supporting aerospace manufacturing by ensuring materials are received, stored, tracked, and delivered accurately and efficiently. Your work will directly support production schedules, quality standards, and supply chain operations in a highly regulated industry where precision matters.

Opportunities are available in Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Management, with placement determined by the hiring team based on experience and business needs.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on logistics role, you will:

• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities
  
• Receive, inspect, unbox, and process incoming materials
  
• Package, box, and prepare outgoing shipments
  
• Accurately record material movements and customer transactions in SAP
  
• Conduct data entry and maintain inventory records
  
• Store materials and complete put-away activities using forklifts and reach trucks
  
• Collaborate with logistics, manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams
  
• Help maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability
  
• Support stockroom operations and cycle count activities
  
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and aerospace industry requirements
  
• Lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational/technical education
  
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant shipping, receiving, inventory, warehouse, or logistics experience
  
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
  
• Experience operating a Reach Truck
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Ability to accurately perform data entry and maintain records
  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  
• Previous stockroom and cycle count experience
  
• SAP or other inventory/database receiving systems experience
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  
• Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, or highly regulated environments
