Position Overview

Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (10-Month Assignment)

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $61.87 per hour

As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, integrate, verify, and deliver advanced avionics solutions. From requirements development through testing and troubleshooting, you'll play a critical role in ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and certification requirements while supporting the future of aerospace innovation.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with systems, software, integration, and test engineers to develop and deliver avionics system solutions.
  
• Support the development, analysis, refinement, and management of system requirements and interfaces.
  
• Participate in design and requirements development activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Execute requirements-based testing, robustness testing, and ad-hoc testing in a laboratory environment.
  
• Develop and execute test scripts to validate system functionality and performance.
  
• Support scenario-based testing and identify unintended system behaviors.
  
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues identified during development and testing cycles.
  
• Document findings and communicate project status, technical concerns, and resolutions to internal stakeholders and OEM customers.
  
• Contribute to verification planning and test strategy development.
  
• Participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, and test procedures.
  
• Support system integration activities and help ensure successful implementation of avionics solutions.
  
• Work in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility during critical testing and validation phases.
  

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

• Strong understanding of avionics systems, aircraft systems, and subsystems.
  
• Hands-on experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) at the system level.
  
• Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following tools and technologies:
