Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Harness Technician C's for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Minimum 4 years' experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent high?reliability field.
o Certification to J?STD?001 space, NASA.STD.8739.4.
o Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail.
o Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components.
o Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists.
o Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
o Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test.
o Experience working in a clean room.
o Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Demonstrated ability to use computer applications for work documentation.
o Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

As a Harness Technician, you will work hands?on with space hardware, translating designs into reality, and your skill and attention to detail will translate directly to on?orbit mission success. Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality and repetitious manner for Spacecraft installation.

o Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
o Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality For Racks, Boxes.
o Explain assembly procedures or techniques to co?workers.
o Work and take direction from team leader for project completion.
o Confer with supervisors regarding any anticipated production problems
o Cross?train/mentor new hires.
o Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High School Diploma or equivalent.
o Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
o Experienced with all MS Office software.
o Demonstrated ability to perform in?process verify of work. (2PV).
o 4+ Years of knowledge of various wire harness tools to include manual and pneumatic crimpers is preferred.
o IPC/WHMA?A?620 highly desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift 50 lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/Second Shift
3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
OT/DOT: Yes, as business needs.
