Engineering Technician 2
Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple SCA Engineering Technician 2's for a contract opportunity in Warner Robins, GA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
o Must be able to obtain all required Soldering certifications and meet associated training requirements.
o Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level of clearance, if required.
o Must be J-Standard Certified.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, wires, and cables.
o Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools and jigs. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct inspection points on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications
o Responsible for repair, modification, and fabrication of cable assemblies, wiring harnesses and complex electronic assemblies.
o Responsible for component replacement and Printed Circuit Board repairs.
o Responsible for repair, modification and fabrication of Shop and Line Replaceable Units.
o Properly utilizing general purpose test and measurement equipment and tools.
o Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
o Identify required tools, supplies and resources needed to maintain the work area as serviceable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Minimum of 2 years of repair capability experience (i.e., fabricating, repairing, and modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, shop or line replaceable units and wiring harnesses).
o Experience using controlled drawings and work instructions.
o Experience with the usage, assembly and repair of military grade pins, connectors, and the associated tooling.
o Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic assemblies using detailed drawings, work instructions or Technical Orders.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Monday-Friday - 3:00 pm - 12:30 am. This position will serve on-site at Warner Robins, GA.
ADDITIONAL:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
SCA Benefits:
HEALTH & WELFARE EO 13706: $5.09 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, or $203.60 per
week, or $882.27 per month*
*This rate is to be used only when compensating employees for performance on an SCA-
covered contract also covered by EO 13706, Establishing Paid Sick Leave for Federal
Contractors. A contractor may not receive credit toward its SCA obligations for any
paid sick leave provided pursuant to EO 13706.
VACATION: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service with a contractor or
successor; 3 weeks after 8 years, and 4 weeks after 20 years. Length of service includes the whole span of continuous service with the present contractor or
successor, wherever employed, and with the predecessor contractors in the performance of similar work at the same Federal facility. (Reg. 29 CFR 4.173)
HOLIDAYS: A minimum of eleven paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Martin
Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth
National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans'
Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. (A contractor may substitute for any of
the named holidays another day off with pay in accordance with a plan communicated
to the employees involved.) (See 29 CFR 4.174)
