Inspector

Job Title: Inspector
Location: Niagara Falls, NY
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $36.00 per hour
Assignment Duration: August 17, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant
Requirement: This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
As an Inspector, you'll evaluate in-process and completed products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
Perform visual inspections of in-process and completed products, assemblies, and subassemblies.
Inspect electronic units, electromechanical assemblies, mechanical systems, and structural components.
Identify defects such as structural flaws, internal defects, missing welds, and workmanship issues.
Use measuring and inspection equipment to verify product conformance.
Accept, reject, or recommend rework for nonconforming products.
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and inspection instructions.
Utilize tools such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, and calibrated inspection equipment.
Complete inspection records and quality documentation accurately.
Monitor product quality using statistical process controls and other quality assurance methods.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve inspection findings and maintain compliance.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of related inspection experience.
Experience performing:
In-process inspections
Final inspections
Receiving inspections
Familiarity with:
Production planning and specifications
Blueprint and drawing interpretation
Calibrated inspection equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Candidates with the following qualifications will stand out:
Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, or similar ERP systems.
Experience documenting and reporting quality defects.
Manufacturing or production environment experience.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and tolerance requirements.
Experience performing microscope visual inspections.
Current or previous certifications in:
IPC-A-610
IPC-A-620
J-STD-001
Aerospace, aviation, defense, or electronics manufacturing experience.
