Job Summary

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a detail-oriented Wash and Paint Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for washing, cleaning, and preparing machined castings for industrial paint application, as well as applying specialized coatings to ensure finished products meet high quality and durability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation & Coating: Wash, clean, and prepare machined castings for paint; apply designated industrial coatings to meet strict product specifications and high-quality finishes.

• Equipment & Forklift Operation: Learn and execute the safe, proper operation of machine shop equipment, including industrial forklift driving.

• Workplace Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work cell at all times while complying with all company health, safety, and operational policies.

• Physical Tasks & Assembly Support: Work in bending, squatting, standing, and ladder-climbing positions for extended periods; safely lift parts weighing 50+ lbs (with assistance as needed).

• Documentation & Detail Verification: Read small print, production orders, and technical tags to verify product specifications before coating.

• Operational Flexibility: Work overtime when required and assist with other manufacturing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Communication: Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English, as well as follow written and oral instructions accurately.

• Visual Acuity: Ability to read small print on production orders and tags (with or without corrective lenses).

• Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting 50+ lbs (with assistance) and working in standing, bending, squatting, or ladder-based positions for long stretches (in excess of 1 hour).

• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn machine shop tools, proper coating techniques, and forklift operation.
