PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Industrial Electrician / Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a leading aerospace company in Schenectady, NY. This role combines industrial electrical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and building systems support in an environment where safety, reliability, and precision are critical.

You will support aerospace operations by maintaining electrical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving motors, controls, panels, circuits, sensors, switches, and electrical components
Support facility electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, building equipment, and general electrical repairs
Install, modify, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, and electrical components
Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize downtime
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
Perform maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment controls, and building systems
Utilize electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and diagnostic tools to identify issues
Support facility maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and equipment upgrades
Assist with installation and maintenance of facility systems and infrastructure
Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and service records accurately
Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, electrical safety standards, and company policies
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to resolve issues quickly
Electrical systems and facility equipment remain safe and reliable
Production and research operations experience minimal downtime
Maintenance requests are completed accurately and efficiently
Electrical and facility repairs meet quality and safety expectations
Preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time
Work areas remain organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or commercial facilities
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, controls, and industrial equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
Experience using electrical testing equipment and hand tools
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform facility repairs and maintenance tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing experience
Industrial equipment maintenance
Building electrical maintenance
Motors, drives, controls, and automation systems
PLC troubleshooting (diagnostics, no programming required)
Three-phase power systems
Electrical panels and control cabinets
Lighting systems and facility power distribution
Preventative maintenance programs
CMMS/work order systems
HVAC electrical troubleshooting
Experience supporting research, testing, or advanced manufacturing facilities
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work around equipment throughout the shift
Ability to safely lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment
Comfortable working in industrial and facility environments
Ability to work safely around electrical systems and follow all safety procedures
