You will support aerospace operations by maintaining reliable mechanical utility systems and ensuring critical equipment and facility systems remain operational.
Install, fabricate, maintain, test, and repair industrial piping systems
Support mechanical utility systems including steam, chilled water, compressed air, gases, and other facility services
Perform pipe layout, cutting, fitting, installation, and modifications
Install and repair valves, fittings, piping components, and mechanical equipment
Troubleshoot piping system issues and complete corrective repairs
Perform preventative maintenance on facility mechanical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Support installation and maintenance of equipment used in aerospace research and testing environments
Work with pumps, valves, regulators, and other mechanical components
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and service records
Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Mechanical utility systems operate safely and reliably
Repairs and installations are completed accurately and efficiently
Preventative maintenance tasks are completed on schedule
Equipment downtime is minimized through effective troubleshooting
Work meets strict aerospace quality and safety standards
Maintenance documentation is accurate and complete
3+ years of industrial pipefitting or steamfitting experience
Experience working in aerospace, manufacturing, research, power generation, or other industrial environments
Strong understanding of industrial piping systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Experience installing and repairing pipes, valves, fittings, and mechanical systems
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to safely use hand tools and mechanical equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience
Steam systems
Chilled water systems
Compressed air systems
Industrial utility systems
Pumps and mechanical equipment
Welding, brazing, or pipe fabrication experience
Journeyman Pipefitter or Steamfitter background
Experience supporting research, testing, or advanced manufacturing facilities
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift
Ability to work around industrial equipment and mechanical systems
Ability to safely lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials
Comfortable working in an industrial aerospace environment
