Position: Automation Maintenance Technician
Location: Southington, CT
Pay: $27.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep automated and semi-automated production equipment operating at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, complete machine changeovers, and support continuous improvement initiatives that keep production running safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment and production systems
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Complete machine setups, tooling changes, and production changeovers
Diagnose issues involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems
Perform equipment adjustments to maximize production efficiency
Monitor machine performance and assist with process improvements
Complete production documentation, startup checklists, and traceability records
Pull quality inspection samples and support production quality requirements
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
High School Diploma or GED
Up to 3 years of manufacturing experience
Experience working with automated or semi-automated production equipment preferred
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems
Ability to read work instructions and technical documentation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
Technical school or vocational training
Experience performing machine changeovers
Preventative maintenance experience
Manufacturing equipment troubleshooting experience
Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing exposure
Experience working in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments
$27.00/hour starting pay
