As a Calibration Technician II, you will be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure equipment meets stringent quality and performance standards.
Calibrate and repair electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment.
Perform calibration of:
AC/DC low-voltage equipment, including multimeters, power meters, and voltage calibrators.
RF/Microwave frequency measuring and generating devices, such as spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, and RF counters.
Temperature and humidity equipment, including thermometers, data loggers, environmental chambers, and ovens.
Generating test and measurement equipment, including insulation and dielectric testers and controllers.
Mechanical measurement tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, scales, pressure gauges, and pressure controllers.
Follow established calibration procedures, repair methods, and quality standards.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Calculate and evaluate measurement uncertainty.
Document calibration activities accurately and maintain quality records.
Collaborate with team members while also managing assigned projects independently.
Utilize computer applications, including Excel, to support reporting and documentation processes.
Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience performing calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems.
Experience calculating Measurement Uncertainty.
Understanding of AC/DC circuitry.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Ability to follow written calibration and repair procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 33 pounds unassisted.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Commercial or Military PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience.
TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment) experience.
Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.
Experience working in highly regulated or quality-driven technical environments.
