Job Summary

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Materials Handler to support plant operations in Mansfield, OH. In this role, you will manage material movement, operate powered industrial equipment, handle staging, and assist with essential facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Material & Inventory Movement: Load, unload, stage, and transfer materials, containers, pallets, and crates across the plant, yard, and dock areas.

• Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to transport goods to designated work cells according to daily production schedules.

• Work Order Execution: Interpret work orders and follow verbal/written instructions to accurately relocate materials and maintain inventory flow.

• Facility Sanitation & Maintenance: Perform routine floor sweeping, industrial floor scrubbing, and general workplace maintenance.

• Paint Booth Upkeep: Execute specialized cleaning and maintenance duties within the paint booth area as assigned.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to plant safety guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, and proper equipment operation rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Active Forklift Certification is required.

• Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts and handling materials in a manufacturing, plant, or warehouse environment.

• Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, pull, sweep, scrub, and perform physical maintenance duties throughout an 8-hour shift.

• Detail-Oriented: Able to read work orders, match part numbers, and follow verbal directions with accuracy.

• Screening: Willingness to undergo standard pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
