About the Role

Start your manufacturing career with an industry leader! PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Grinder Operators to join a premier production team in Washington, MO.

In this vital role, you will operate grinding equipment to shape, finish, and restore titanium metal sheets to precise customer specifications. No prior experience with titanium or heavy machinery? No problem! We provide complete hands-on training for motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, physical dependability, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Lift, position, and flip titanium sheets into and out of grinding tools using roller tables and overhead equipment.

• Precision Finishing: Visually inspect metal sheet surfaces for imperfections and operate grinding tools to remove defects.

• Quality & Measurement: Utilize micrometers and thickness gauges (vidigauges) to measure sheet dimensions and ensure exact tolerances.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform machine setups, change and install large grinder belts, and execute routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.

• Safety & Monitoring: Continuously monitor equipment during operation to prevent errors and ensure full adherence to plant safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• Education & Computer Skills: Ability to navigate basic computer systems and log production data.

• Comprehension: Strong reading and comprehension skills for production orders, SOPs, and safety instructions.

• Math & Measurement: Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers).

• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Visa sponsorship is not available).

Physical & Vision Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform manual tasks required for heavy metal sheet handling.

• Visual acuity for close-up inspections, depth perception, and distance focus to spot surface defects.

Shift Structure (3-2-2 Schedule)

• Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-Hour Day Shift)

• Rotation: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on (Work every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

• Overtime: Available as production demands require.
