Manufacturing Engineer
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our partnership with one of the world's leading aerospace companies in Berkeley, MO. Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $60 to $75 per hour
As a Manufacturing Engineer within Test & Evaluation (BT&E), you'll support the development, fabrication, installation, and testing of critical hardware and instrumentation used in aircraft and structural testing programs.
You'll help drive the success of industry-leading aerospace platforms including the T-7A Redhawk, MQ-25A Stingray, Phantom Works programs, Our companies Weapons programs, F-15, F/A-18, and other next-generation defense initiatives.
From manufacturing planning and fabrication sourcing to aircraft installation support and laboratory test setup, your work will directly contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology and mission success.
Develop and author manufacturing plans that ensure compliance with design, build, test, and program requirements.
Create integrated build plans including:
Assembly and fabrication instructions
Tooling requirements
Kitting strategies
Inspection requirements
Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analyses to improve production efficiency and quality.
Review engineering models, drawings, and design documentation.
Create and review redlines while coordinating updates with design teams.
Support fabrication planning and installation activities through design reviews and technical recommendations.
Ensure proper configuration management throughout build activities.
Source fabrication and assembly services both internally and externally.
Develop work statements and fabrication packages as needed.
Coordinate procurement of materials, parts, and test hardware.
Collaborate with supplier management teams to support project schedules and deliverables.
Source production parts and track material readiness.
Support hardware and instrumentation installations at aircraft sites and test laboratories.
Coordinate test setup activities for structural, laboratory, and flight test programs.
Partner with test engineers and technicians to support successful program execution.
Assist with manufacturing engineering support across sites when required.

Bachelor's degree in:
Engineering
Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology)
Computer Science
Data Science
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Or a related technical discipline
2+ years of experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering
2+ years of experience using manufacturing planning tools
2+ years of experience working with CAD design tools such as:
CATIA
Siemens NX
Or similar software
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
3+ years of related experience (Level 3) or 5+ years of related experience (Level 4)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
Experience with MESci
Experience managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Flight Configuration Changes (FCs), or similar engineering change processes
Experience creating and coordinating engineering redlines
Familiarity with flight test worksheets and worksheet authority processes
Knowledge of procurement systems such as eParts
Understanding of electrical fabrication and wire shop processes
Experience supporting laboratory or flight test environments
Proficiency with:
CATIA
ENOVIA
Siemens NX
Teamcenter
Knowledge of conventional and CNC machining, EDM, fit and finish processes, and quality inspection methods
Familiarity with rapid prototyping technologies and processes
Exposure to structural or stress analysis methodologies
