Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Reads and interprets aircraft engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
Identifies aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
Works with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and standard scales.
Utilizes tools including drills, angle motors, shears, drill press, and pneumatic riveter.
Fabricates detail parts such as shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches.
Bonds aircraft parts, assemblies, and materials on complete and incomplete aircraft where methods and operational sequences are not established.
Sets up and operates various types of material testers and mixers for bonding operations.
Performs assembly operations including trimming, filing, drilling, riveting, reforming, and fitting of parts and details.
Removes burrs and other surface imperfections as required and fabricates shims, brackets, and plates.
Records data and procedural information for future use and improvises shop aids to facilitate fabrication, application, or assembly operations.
Requirements:
Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings, technical manuals, and structure repair manuals.
Experience fabricating detail parts including shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches.
Experience with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and standard scales.
Experience using drills, angle motors, shears, drill press, and pneumatic riveter.
Experience bonding aircraft parts, assemblies, and materials.
Experience with assembly operations including trimming, filing, drilling, riveting, reforming, and fitting.
Experience setting up and operating material testers and mixers.
Ability to utilize full face respirator, Tyvek suits, and gloves for LO restore and modification work.
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
