Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Facilities Planner 2's for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o 3 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 1 year of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree. o Project Management. o Onsite Contractor Management. o Business Writing/Communication. o Capital Projects/ Financial Reporting.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: o Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. o Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation. o Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified. o Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance. o Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules. o Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope. o May coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o PMP certification, preferred. Not Required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in related field. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: Full-Time 5/40 workweek.
