As a Structural & Mechanical Testing Engineer, you'll play a vital role in materials testing laboratories, developing and executing tests that validate product performance and reliability. From designing test hardware and systems to analyzing results and publishing reports, you'll be involved throughout the entire testing lifecycle.
Your work will directly support the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies and help ensure products meet the demanding expectations of customers, regulators, and the aviation industry.
What You'll Do
As part of the Test & Evaluation team, you will:
Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and testing methodologies.
Design, develop, and integrate test equipment, software, and support systems.
Review customer requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies.
Execute structural and mechanical testing through hands-on interaction with test hardware and computerized control systems.
Validate test data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality before customer delivery.
Prepare and publish detailed technical test reports documenting findings and recommendations.
Research emerging testing technologies to improve laboratory capabilities and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with project teams, management, and technical experts to define and implement effective engineering solutions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality, deadlines, and customer expectations.
Take ownership of testing programs from planning through execution and final reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in structural design, structural analysis, and/or testing.
Experience with pneumatic system design, maintenance, and repair.
Experience using CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Experience performing structural analysis and hand calculations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in project management and coordinating technical initiatives.
Experience working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary engineering organization.
Knowledge of materials testing processes and laboratory operations.
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and program teams.

Pay Details: $44.22 per hour
