As a Tests and Instrumentation Engineer, you'll be at the center of flight test operations, ensuring accurate, reliable data collection that directly supports aircraft development, performance validation, and engineering innovation. What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Design and manage airborne data acquisition and measurement systems to support flight test requirements.
  • Build, install, configure, and maintain flight test instrumentation systems on rotor-wing aircraft.
  • Perform system integration, calibration, troubleshooting, and checkout activities.
  • Support flight test operations and ensure data collection systems are functioning accurately and reliably.
  • Participate in laboratory builds, aircraft modifications, and instrumentation upgrades.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and flight test teams to meet program objectives.
  • Assist in sustaining and improving test systems throughout the aircraft modification and testing lifecycle.
  • Analyze instrumentation requirements and recommend solutions to enhance data quality and system performance.


Required Qualifications



To be successful in this role, candidates should have:




  • Experience using multi-channel data acquisition and recording systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation installations, system integration, calibrations, and system checkouts.
  • Experience supporting flight test operations in a high-OPTEMPO environment.
  • Familiarity with Curtiss-Wright/TTC data system hardware.
  • Familiarity with avionics buses and aircraft data communication systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based engineering environment.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Previous experience supporting rotorcraft or military flight test programs.
  • Knowledge of airborne telemetry and flight test instrumentation best practices.
  • Experience with aircraft modification and systems integration activities.
  • Familiarity with aviation industry testing standards and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
