Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Avionic Technicians for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
SKILLS MATRIX: •Troubleshooting- 4 - 6 Years • Electrical Diagnosis/Repair- 4 - 6 Years • Read Electrical Schematics- 4 - 6 Years
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Production Hangar Avionics F-16 Technician you will be responsible for installing electrical harnesses/components, routing various wire/cables, Terminating cables/wires, and performing operational checks. You may also be required to troubleshoot and repairing electrical and avionics systems based on area assigned. Will sometimes perform other duties such as general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: •While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead. • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area. • per Government regulations and company procedures
REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS: •Must be able to work any shift. •Must be able to start 8/24/2026 •Must be able to work 1st or 2nd or weekend, Will Train on First shift then sent to final shift. •1st- Mon-Thurs- 6:00am-4:30pm •2nd- Mon-Thurs- 4:30pm-3:00am •Possible weekend shift Thurs-Sun 6:00am-4:30pm
