Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple SCA Engineering Technician 2's for a contract opportunity in Warner Robins, GA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
o Minimum of 2 years of repair capability experience?(i.e., fabricating, repairing, and modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, shop or line replaceable units and wiring harnesses).
Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English).
o Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams.
o Cable Assembly and Cable Harness Assembly.
o Electrical Soldering.
o Micro-Soldering.
o Solder Certified.
o Must have IPC J-STD-001 Soldering certification and meet associated training requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for an Engineering Technician 2 to support our production and repair department. As a member of the production and repair department you'll be responsible for the repair, assembly, modification, and maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be working on highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic assemblies using detailed drawings, work instructions or Technical Orders.
o Surface Mount Soldering.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Monday-Friday - 3:00 pm - 12:30 am. This position will serve on-site at Warner Robins, GA.

SCA Benefits:
HEALTH & WELFARE EO 13706: $5.09 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, or $203.60 per
week, or $882.27 per month*
*This rate is to be used only when compensating employees for performance on an SCA-
covered contract also covered by EO 13706, Establishing Paid Sick Leave for Federal
Contractors. A contractor may not receive credit toward its SCA obligations for any
paid sick leave provided pursuant to EO 13706.
VACATION: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service with a contractor or
successor; 3 weeks after 8 years, and 4 weeks after 20 years. Length of service includes the whole span of continuous service with the present contractor or
successor, wherever employed, and with the predecessor contractors in the performance of similar work at the same Federal facility. (Reg. 29 CFR 4.173)
HOLIDAYS: A minimum of eleven paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Martin
Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth
National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans'
Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. (A contractor may substitute for any of
the named holidays another day off with pay in accordance with a plan communicated
to the employees involved.) (See 29 CFR 4.174)
