Field Base Location: Los Angeles CA | Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm | Payrate: $34 - $34.48/hour 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the telecommunications industry to hire Field Service Representatives across California. In this hands-on role, you'll support a large-scale network modernization initiative by safely decommissioning legacy telecommunications equipment and helping pave the way for the next generation of network infrastructure. What You'll Do 

• Safely decommission legacy telecommunications equipment at data centers, central offices, and remote sites. 

• Perform site audits and validate equipment against project documentation. 

• Verify network equipment, circuit status, and power measurements before decommissioning. 

• Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all safety standards. 

• Complete testing, documentation, system updates, and upload site photos. 

• Partner with project teams, suppliers, and site contacts to deliver work safely, efficiently, and on schedule. 

• Travel throughout assigned regions within California. 

Qualifications 

Required 

• Experience working with telecommunications, network, or data center equipment in live environments. 

• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, or decommissioning network infrastructure. 

• Knowledge of optical transport, routing, switching, structured cabling, and power systems. 

• Experience using electrical measurement tools, including power clamp meters. 

• Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance. 

• Current LOTO certification or ability to obtain certification. 

• Willingness to travel throughout California. 

Preferred 

• Experience with transport, access, or customer-premise telecommunications equipment. 

• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Nortel, or similar networking platforms. 

• Experience supporting large-scale network transformation or decommissioning projects. 

• Knowledge of facility records and infrastructure documentation.
