Shift: Third Shift (Start Time: 11:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay Rate:$46.43 per hour

About the Role
As an Aircraft Painter, you will be responsible for the spray application of aerospace coatings on a variety of aircraft components and assemblies. You will prepare surfaces, apply primers and topcoats, perform touch-ups and rework, and ensure all work meets strict engineering, customer, and regulatory specifications.
This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, as your work directly contributes to the appearance, protection, and performance of advanced aircraft.
What You'll Do
Aircraft Painting & Surface Finishing
Apply aerospace paints, primers, clear coats, and topcoat finishes to composite and metallic aircraft surfaces.
Mix paints and coatings to exact color specifications and finish requirements.
Perform spray applications on simple to complex aircraft components and assemblies.
Apply stencils and specialty finishes according to engineering documentation and manufacturing standards.
Surface Preparation
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, scuffing, sanding, and chemical treatments.
Remove grease, dirt, corrosion, rust, and old coatings using approved methods and materials.
Trim excess materials and ensure surfaces are properly prepared before paint application.
Quality & Inspection
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Utilize measuring equipment and inspection tools to verify coating thickness and quality.
Perform self-inspections throughout the paint process and address defects as needed.
Complete touch-ups, rework, and incorporation of engineering changes when required.
Equipment & Process Support
Mix and prepare paints using manual and powered mixing equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on paint guns, sprayers, and related equipment.
Complete required air quality and process documentation before paint operations.
Move product through the manufacturing process using approved material handling equipment.
Support production flow by assisting and mentoring team members as needed.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials and paint operations.
Utilize required PPE, including respirators, air-supplied hoods, Tyvek suits, gloves, and eye protection.
Maintain compliance with company, customer, OSHA, and aerospace manufacturing requirements.
Properly handle and dispose of hazardous and regulated materials.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of Aircraft Painter experience.
Demonstrated experience with:
Spray applications
Primer coatings
Final topcoat finishes
Clear coat applications
Stenciling and specialty coatings
Experience painting both composite and metallic aircraft surfaces.
Strong knowledge of masking, sanding, scuffing, cleaning, and paint preparation processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Experience with paint mixing and color matching.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to successfully complete:
Respirator certification requirements
Basic Painter Skills Testing
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace or aircraft manufacturing experience.
Experience performing aircraft paint rework and corrective actions.
Familiarity with aerospace coating specifications and quality standards.
Previous experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience using precision inspection tools and measuring equipment.
Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives and train team members.
Required Certifications & Compliance Screening
Candidates must be able to successfully complete required safety, medical, and respiratory protection requirements, including:

Half-Face Respirator Certification
