Position Details



Job Title: Technician

Location: Stratford, CT

Pay Rate: $30-$40.00 per hour

Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment

Shift: First Shift (4/10 Schedule)





About the Role



As a Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting System Integration Laboratory (SIL) test facilities by fabricating, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. Working from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, you'll help ensure test systems are built accurately and function reliably.



Your expertise will directly contribute to the development, integration, and validation of advanced aviation technologies that help shape the future of flight.





What You'll Do



In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:




  • Fabricating, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical/electronic schematics with limited supervision.
  • Building and assembling wire harnesses, test boxes, and laboratory test equipment.
  • Constructing wiring harnesses based on detailed electrical schematics.
  • Routing wiring harnesses through large electronic equipment racks.
  • Terminating wiring to rear disconnect panels and associated equipment.
  • Supporting laboratory test facilities used for system integration activities.
  • Mounting and assembling mechanical and electrical components within test racks.
  • Conducting testing and verification activities to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.




Required Qualifications



To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:




  • Strong electronic and electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience with electrical and electronic fabrication.
  • Experience working in a laboratory, aerospace, manufacturing, or technical production environment.
  • Mechanical assembly and general fabrication experience.
  • Experience fabricating, terminating, and working with military wiring harnesses and connectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.




Preferred Qualifications



Candidates with the following experience will stand out:




  • Extensive aircraft wiring and harness fabrication experience.
  • Experience routing and installing wiring within large electronics racks.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, defense, or military electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience supporting test laboratories or system integration environments.
  • Familiarity with connector installation, cable management, and equipment rack integration.
  • Experience supporting complex electromechanical systems.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
