Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $96.92 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

As a Senior Liaison Engineer, you'll serve as the critical link between engineering and manufacturing, helping transform aircraft designs into production-ready reality. You'll work directly with production teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve technical issues, analyze non-conformances, and ensure products are built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design intent.



This is a hands-on engineering role that extends far beyond the desk. You'll be in the factory, inside aircraft, and on the production floor making decisions that directly affect aircraft quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.





What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Analyze, investigate, and develop dispositions for production non-conformances
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Apply engineering expertise to resolve complex product and process issues
  • Support production teams by providing real-time engineering solutions on the factory floor
  • Evaluate reported deviations that may impact safety, quality, and design intent
  • Develop and implement continuous process and product improvements
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and engineering design reviews
  • Represent Engineering throughout the production and post-production lifecycle
  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with standards
  • Develop technical correspondence supporting continued safe operation and maintenance
  • Participate in accident investigations and repair support activities
  • Analyze structural damage and modification requirements
  • Determine appropriate jacking, shoring, and repair strategies
  • Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analyses
  • Develop non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures, standards, and tools
  • Collaborate extensively with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers




Required Qualifications



We're seeking experienced engineers who possess:




  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited (or equivalent) institution
  • 20+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • Structures Engineering
    • Systems Engineering
    • Design Engineering
    • Production Engineering


  • Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience supporting engineering issues throughout the product lifecycle
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement




Preferred Qualifications



Highly qualified candidates may also have:




  • Senior-level experience supporting commercial aerospace manufacturing programs
  • Extensive hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes
  • Aircraft structural repair and modification experience
  • Experience supporting supplier quality and production operations
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods and procedures
  • Experience working directly on factory floors and production support teams
  • Background investigating and resolving complex aircraft manufacturing challenges




Work Environment



This role is fully onsite and includes daily interaction within aircraft production environments.



You should be comfortable working in areas that may include:




  • Aircraft assembly lines
  • High-noise production environments
  • Stairways and elevated work areas
  • Chemical handling and manufacturing operations
  • Various stages of aircraft construction and assembly


This position also includes participation in approximately 9-month Training Rotation Program, which may involve:




  • First, second, or third shift assignments
  • Weekend support
  • Overtime as needed
  • Travel between facilities

Pay Details: $96.92 per hour
