Make an Impact Where Engineering Meets Manufacturing
As a Liaison Engineer, you'll serve as the critical link between engineering and production teams, helping resolve technical issues that arise during aircraft manufacturing. You'll work directly on the factory floor, analyzing non-conformances, developing repair solutions, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring production remains aligned with engineering requirements, safety standards, and design intent.
Your work will directly contribute to the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of world-class aircraft.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Analyze and disposition production non-conformances and manufacturing issues
Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective actions
Apply engineering principles to resolve technical, quality, and operational challenges
Evaluate deviations that may impact product integrity, safety, or design intent
Develop and implement process and product improvements
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and engineering design reviews
Support production teams with real-time engineering solutions on the factory floor
Represent engineering throughout production and post-production activities
Ensure supplier and partner compliance with engineering and quality requirements
Develop technical correspondence supporting continued safe operation and maintenance
Participate in repair teams, product investigations, and support activities
Analyze damage repairs and structural modifications
Determine appropriate jacking, shoring, and repair methods
Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analyses
Develop non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited (or equivalent) institution
14+ years of experience in:
Structures Engineering
Systems Engineering
Design Engineering
Production Engineering
Current or previous Material Review Board (MRB) certification within the last two years
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Experience supporting manufacturing and production environments
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to make timely engineering decisions in a fast-paced setting
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Hands-on experience with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes
Expertise in structural repairs and aircraft modification activities
Knowledge of production support, quality systems, and airworthiness requirements
Experience developing repair dispositions and implementing process improvements
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite role that places you at the center of aircraft production operations.
You'll regularly work in:
Active manufacturing facilities
Aircraft assembly environments
Areas with elevated noise levels
Production spaces involving stairs, platforms, and industrial equipment
Aircraft in various stages of construction and assembly
This position also participates in an approximately 9-month training rotation program, which may include:
First, second, or third shift assignments
Weekend work and overtime
Travel between regional manufacturing sites
Exposure to multiple aircraft programs and production environments

Pay Details: $79.98 per hour
