PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation and aerospace innovator to hire an experienced Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer specializing in ASIC/FPGA Verification.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: Starting at $68.48 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)





Help Power the Next Generation of Aerospace Systems



As an Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer, you'll support the verification of advanced ASIC and FPGA technologies used in critical aerospace, avionics, space, and defense applications. Working alongside world-class engineering teams, you'll develop verification environments, validate complex designs, and help ensure mission-critical systems perform flawlessly in demanding environments.



Your expertise will directly contribute to technologies that enable safer, smarter, and more capable aerospace platforms.





What You'll Do



In this role, you will:




  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches for ASIC and FPGA verification
  • Create self-checking, reusable UVM components including:

    • Drivers
    • Monitors
    • Scoreboards
    • Sequencers


  • Design functional coverage models and drive coverage closure activities
  • Develop test scenarios to verify DSP functionality and third-party IP integration
  • Execute and analyze:

    • Simulations
    • Linting checks
    • Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) verification
    • Static timing analysis
    • Gate-level regressions


  • Utilize Python, Perl, Make, and other scripting tools to automate verification workflows
  • Work with version control systems such as Git and SVN
  • Support FPGA bring-up, hardware emulation, prototyping, and hardware integration efforts
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and design engineering teams to define requirements and troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Contribute to the delivery of highly reliable aerospace electronic systems




Required Qualifications



We're looking for candidates who have:




  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Or a related technical field


  • Experience with ASIC and FPGA verification using:

    • SystemVerilog
    • UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)


  • Experience creating self-checking verification environments and leveraging object-oriented SystemVerilog features
  • Knowledge of:

    • Functional coverage methodologies
    • Code coverage analysis and closure


  • Strong Linux environment experience
  • Experience using scripting tools and automation methodologies
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment




Preferred Qualifications



Ideal candidates may also bring:




  • 2+ years of ASIC/FPGA verification experience (Associate Level)
  • 5+ years of ASIC/FPGA verification experience (Experienced Level)
  • Experience with hardware emulation platforms such as Palladium
  • FPGA prototyping and hardware validation experience
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces and protocols, including:

    • PCIe
    • Ethernet
    • JESD204C


  • Experience with:

    • SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
    • RTL-to-GDS design flows


  • Familiarity with space-grade electronics and radiation mitigation techniques
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a related engineering discipline

Pay Details: $68.48 per hour
