What You'll Do
As an Avionics Installer, you'll play a vital role in supporting aircraft production and maintenance by:
Assisting with the installation, modification, and fabrication of aircraft wiring, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment using blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Removing and installing avionics and electrical components with precision and attention to detail.
Fabricating wire harnesses, performing wiring terminations, ring-outs, and functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.
Reading and interpreting basic blueprints and schematic diagrams to complete assigned work accurately.
Maintaining required logs, records, and documentation.
Completing assigned tasks within established production schedules.
Ensuring all work meets applicable regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Performing thorough self-inspections to deliver defect-free assemblies before final inspection.
Following company safety standards, including FOD prevention, tool control, and 5S workplace organization.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Caring for assigned tools and equipment while participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and process improvement activities.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
One of the following:
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics; or
Two (2) years of related avionics or aviation electrical work experience; or
An avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one (1) year of related work experience.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency and general software knowledge.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, or MRO environment.
Familiarity with aircraft wiring harness fabrication, electrical testing, and avionics installations.
Experience working in a fast-paced, quality-driven aerospace environment.
A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to safety and workmanship.
