Description:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into operational steps and processes to produce fully functional hardware at scale. Responsibilities include supporting builds, translating engineering definitions into manufacturing work instructions, and developing/qualifying new technology. Successful candidates will lead DFMA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test, accelerating product development.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
•Strong mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals.
•5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering capacity, including internships
•Demonstrated experience defining manufacturing process flows and selecting production equipment for electromechanical hardware.
•Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals including GD&T, tolerance analysis, precision fits, and structural assembly.
•Ability to read and interpret both mechanical drawings (GD&T) and electrical drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings).
•Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
•Hands-on experience in an electric motor or rotating electrical machine manufacturing facility.
•Experience with at least one of the following: avionics, wire harnesses, structures, spacecraft propulsion systems, mechanical systems, thermal protection systems, thermal management systems, and environmental instrumentation for aerospace.
•Experience standing up new production lines or manufacturing cells, including equipment procurement and layout.
•Experience developing spacecraft or other Aerospace, Defense and High Performance (ADHP) hardware.
•Ability to obtain a DBIDS or NASA badge
